Purpose and Scope of the Position:

Reporting directly to the KURDS site engineer, the Site Monitor will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of engineering works within the assigned area.

• Contract Duration: 6 Months

Duties and Responsibilities:

Field Assessments and Project Design:

• Participate in monitoring projects and conducting field assessments as required.

Supervision and Monitoring of Subcontracted Projects:

• Implement thorough monitoring procedures to ensure compliance with donor Procurement and Finance Policy.

• Supervise contracted projects to ensure work quality, adherence to specifications, and adherence to project timeframes.

• Conduct surveying and data collection for proposed projects.

• Identify technical support needs for proposed projects.

• Measure achieved works by contractors and subcontractors.

• Assist in project budgeting, bill of quantity, and implementation time frame.

• Submit daily and weekly reports to the site engineer.

General:

• Report project progress and achievements to KURDS site engineers on a daily basis.

• Maintain daily records for each site detailing activities, obstacles, problems, and remarks.

• Perform other duties as needed or requested.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor's degree.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar field.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic.

• Strong computer skills.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from diverse cultures and professional backgrounds.
