Where We Build Hope: KURDS NGO's Footprint of Healing and Progress
Since 1991, KURDS NGO has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with vulnerable communities across Iraq, Turkey, and Syria, offering a helping hand wherever hope needs rekindling and progress needs fostering. Our journey began in the northern Iraqi governorates of Duhok, Erbil, and Sulaimaniya, where we established three core offices to serve the immediate needs of displaced families and war-torn regions.
But our ambition, like the hearts of those we serve, knew no borders. Following Iraq's liberation, we extended our reach, opening offices in Mosul and Kirkuk, driven by the unwavering belief that no community should be left behind in the quest for a brighter future.
Beyond responding to immediate humanitarian needs, KURDS NGO recognized the vital role of strengthening civil society. We championed social programs, empowering communities to take ownership of their development and chart their own course toward a just and peaceful future.
Understanding the crucial link between livelihoods and resilience, we ventured into the agricultural sector, breathing new life into rural communities. Irrigation channels, water basin facilities, and agricultural extension programs blossomed under our care, nurturing not just fertile fields but also hope and self-sufficiency.
Our commitment to lasting impact shines through in the over 1500 projects successfully implemented across the Kurdish region. From reconstruction and water sanitation to productive ventures and environmental improvement, we have touched the lives of countless individuals in 3000 villages.
We take pride in contributing extensively to the development of rural communities and playing an active role in monitoring elections, supporting the cornerstone of Democratic Federalism.
